Sioux City Winter Maternity Session

One of my favorite things about my job is photographing friends and last week I got to do just that. I had a portrait session with Justin and Liz!

Right after they announced their pregnancy, Liz asked if I’d like to shoot their maternity photos! We scheduled the session for January, hoping we would have some snow on the ground and (of course) we missed the “snow fall” by one day.

Hanging out with these two was an absolute blast! We did our best to stay warm, despite our one hand warmer that didn’t seem to fully warm up until the session was almost over. I had to laugh (and still laugh thinking about it) at the fact that while we were outside during a 10-15 minutes stretch, I asked them if they wanted to go warm up. Liz said “no” as she couldn’t keep her teeth from chattering.

Justin and Liz are only a few weeks out from Baby Donaghu’s arrival! I’m so excited to see their family grow, as I know they’ll make the absolute best parents!
