We first planned the Visscher engagement session for February. Eric, Jessica, and I were all envisioning pretty snow and blue skies, but Mother Nature had some other plans in mind.

A few days before their engagement session, I reached out to Jessica to let her know that we were going to need to reschedule due to COLD temperatures – the “real feel” was around 9º.

We rescheduled for a month later and we had a 50º temperature swing from our original session date, but I’m definitely not complaining about it!

Jessica and Eric decided they’d prefer their session to take place somewhere that gave off outdoorsy vibes in nature – Adam’s Nature Preserve was one of my suggestions.

Adam’s Nature Preserve has a large variety of shooting areas with large grassy fields, gravel trails, and even farm animals (but we didn’t shoot with them).

I learned that Eric and Jessica met through mutual friends at college at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. From the short time that I was around them, I can tell they are a perfect match!

I’m counting down the days until their August wedding day – It’s going to be SO MUCH FUN!
